World Expo 2020 is scheduled to be held in Dubai, UAE, on dates 20th October 2020 to 10th April 2021. Main events of importance like the opening and closing ceremonies will be held in the main Plaza. The first look of the Al Wasl Plaza was launched in April 2017, which is anticipated to have a large dome, with a 360-degree screen at night to project images to thousands of visitors around the place. There will be three thematic districts inside the plaza namely Opportunity, Sustainability, and Mobility based on sub-themes of the event. There will be fountains, waterfalls, parks and palm-lined courtyards for the estimated 10,000 visitors.  Every participating country will have their own pavilion along with sub-theme based pavilions. Numerous countries have already revealed their pavilion design based on diverse themes like nature, future, etc.

Once the site of the Expo is completely developed, it will provide jobs to 500,000 individuals and will house about 1 million residents.
